Chance Chancellor is becoming more and more persuaded that Phyllis Summers and Jemmy Stark have hatched and successfully carried out a diabolical conspiracy. He is becoming more certain that Phyllis faked her death as the evidence mounts.
Chance is a sensible and reasonable person, so he understands he has to have an open mind and trust his gut. Christine Blair, however, who is plagued by her own uncertainties, rejects the idea out of hand, seeing it instead as a last-ditch effort by those still loyal to Diane Jenkins.
