Days Of Our Lives Recap: Sloan Petersen Is Worried
Assuming that Eric (Greg Vaughan) would take his time in the shower, Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) made a call to Colin, leaving him a message that concluded with an “I love you.” Unbeknownst to her, Eric had finished his shower and unintentionally overheard the conversation. Intrigued, Eric wanted to know who Sloan was expressing her love for. Sloan proceeded to explain, which left Eric utterly surprised. It had been a long time since she mentioned her baby brother, and Eric was unaware that they were still in contact.
Sloan expressed her distress over the impact their parents’ deaths had on Colin. She emphasized that the loss affected him deeply, changing him in profound ways. While Sloan herself was also greatly affected, Colin’s grief and anger consumed him to the point where he struggled to function.
Eric suggested the possibility that Colin might be targeting Paulina (JackĂ©e Harry) and Chanel (Raven Bowens), but Sloan strongly rejected the idea. She insisted that her brother had no involvement in “those crimes” and that he was nowhere near Salem.

Realizing his assumption was off-base, Eric apologized, and the two reconciled by retreating to the nearby bed for some intimate moments. However, their bliss was interrupted by a loud alarm from Sloan’s phone, reminding her to replenish her diminishing supply of birth control pills.
Speaking of contraception, the question arose whether Eric and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) had used any the night they were together. Although Eric didn’t provide a direct answer, he reassured Sloan by disclosing that Nicole had been diagnosed with early menopause. Sloan casually remarked, “That poor, old thing,” putting her mind at ease.

Meanwhile, Nicole started her day with a revealing conversation with Anna, who had come to check on her friend’s delicate condition. Nicole expressed her growing concern about the paternity of her baby, worrying whether it was Eric or EJ. However, her primary concern should have been whether she could carry the child to full term. The odds seemed to be against her.
Anna found it hard to believe, especially considering Holly’s existence. Nicole then explained that Holly was conceived through IVF and carried by Chloe. Anna was surprised by this revelation, claiming she had no idea. Nicole found it difficult to believe, considering how everyone in Salem seemed to know about it.
Anna tried to ease Nicole’s worries with comforting words and by highlighting the miracles of modern medicine. However, Nicole’s main worry was disappointing Eric by potentially losing a baby that could be his. Anna assured Nicole that she would be there for her no matter what.
After assuring Nicole of her support, Anna proceeded to remind her of the do’s and don’ts of pregnancy, emphasizing no caffeine, or alcohol, and the importance of taking prenatal vitamins regularly.

Nicole then headed to the hospital, where she unexpectedly bumped into Sloan Petersen. To Nicole’s surprise, Sloan noticed the prescription for prenatal vitamins that Nicole had just picked up, exclaiming, “Prenatal vitamins?!”

At the bustling Carver residence, Paulina, Abe, and Chanel reluctantly welcomed visitor Melinda Trask inside.
The District Attorney had paid a visit to discuss “sensitive matters outside of City Hall,” specifically, the plan to replace Rafe as Commissioner of Police and appoint Paulina instead!
Melinda’s justification? Rafe’s complete failure to bring the notorious Salem poisoner to justice, coupled with the desire to have someone in the position who can effectively get things done, someone unafraid to tactfully bend a few rules. And that description fit Paulina Price Carver perfectly!
Abe strongly objected and passionately supported Rafe. Melinda huffed in frustration and departed. Paulina dryly remarked, “So much for my brand-new badge.”

Speaking of Rafe… both he and Jada coincidentally arrived at Colin’s room in The White Dove Motel, only to discover that he had fled in a hurry.

Spotting an untouched trash can, with a used razor casually lying on top of other discarded items, the dynamic duo seized the opportunity. They collected the contents, extracted fingerprints, and DNA, and began cross-referencing the available local databases. Unfortunately, they found no matches. Frustrating!
But hold on! After a quick brainstorming session, Rafe and Jada decided to access Scotland Yard’s database since Colin is British, obviously (!), and to their delight, they found a match.
Meanwhile, Colin pleaded with a visibly uneasy Talia to proceed with their plan for her to seduce and ruin the unsuspecting Chanel, who was smitten with her.
Reluctantly, Talia agreed and promptly headed to Chanel’s residence, narrowly missing an encounter with Paulina and Abe, who had been summoned by a representative from the Health Department.
To their surprise, the so-called government employee turned out to be Colin in disguise, with a mysterious accent. Dun, dun, dun!
