Chanel Dupree Falls Into Colinās Clutches
While Colin (Jasper Newman) forcibly ousted Paulina (JackĆ©e Harry) from the Sweet Bits kitchen, separating her from an unconscious Abe (James Reynolds), Talia (Aketra Sevillian) managed to break free from Chanel’s (Raven Bowens) embrace and admitted that she couldn’t continue. Concerned, Chanel questioned Talia’s well-being, but Talia confessed to not being entirely truthful about her feelings. Chanel assumed Talia was having doubts about their relationship as a same-sex couple, but the truth was far more sinister. Talia confessed that she kissed Chanel and asked her out under someone else’s influence.
Chanel demanded to know who was behind it all, and Talia revealed that her boyfriend, Nathan and Martha Bedford’s traumatized son, had orchestrated a plan for Talia to seduce and ruin Chanel. Breaking Chanel’s heart was just one part of his twisted agenda.

A sudden realization hit Chanel that Colin was the one harassing her and her mother, and Talia had willingly played a role in his scheme from the beginning. After admonishing Talia and throwing her out, Chanel attempted to contact Paulina, only to have Colin himself answer the phone, instructing Chanel to comply with his every command.

At the Brady Pub, Rafe (Galen Gering) and Jada (Elia Cantu) joyfully informed Sloan that they had uncovered Colin as the perpetrator harassing Paulina and Chanel. Rafe raised the possibility that Sloan might have been working in tandem with her brother all alongāan accusation that Counselor Petersen vehemently opposed. Following Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) advice to tell the truth before things worsen, Sloan sat down and tearfully admitted, “The person behind these crimes against Paulina and Chanel…it’s my brother. It’s Colin.”
Under questioning, Sloan affirmed that she had only discovered the truth just the day before and attempted to explain Colin’s motivationsāhis desire for revenge against those who took their parents away.
Rafe issued an all-points bulletin (APB) while Jada handcuffed Sloan, believing that once Colin learns of her arrest, he will surrender to save her. Furthermore, neither Rafe nor Jada considers Sloan an innocent party in this unfolding drama.

In another part of town, specifically at the DiMera mansion, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) grumbled to herself that Sloan should keep quiet about her pregnancy, referring to her as a “stupid cow,” before taking a prenatal vitamin.
EJ approached and inquired about what she had just taken. Nicole brushed it off as “some medication prescribed by Kayla” and engaged in a spirited, one-sided debate about society’s perception of women in menopause.

Meanwhile, Stefan and Gabi celebrated Gabi receiving signed divorce papers from Li (Remington Hoffman). Jokingly, Gabi remarked that with the stroke of a pen and the filing of the papers, she would soon be a free woman. In a romantic gesture, Stefan got down on one knee, presented a beautiful ring, and asked Gabi to marry him. Delighted, she happily accepted.
Later, the couple sought out Nicole and EJ to share their exciting news and perhaps taunt their enemies, expressing their joy at soon running the family business together as Mr. and Mrs. DiMera. They invited Nicole and EJ to raise a toast to their engagement, but Nicole declined a glass of champagne, citing her lack of desire to celebrate their “unholy union.” EJ, although he accepted the glasses of bubbly, refused to join in the cheer.
Once Stefan and Gabi left the scene, EJ threw a tantrum and decided to steal his brother’s thunder by making a proposal of his own. However, Nicole was far from impressed by his actions.

“You two women went to great lengths to deceive the world into believing that my mother threw herself off a building, and now, the story will come full circle. Say your final goodbyes to your mother, Chanel. She is about to leap to her death.”
Meanwhile, at Sweet Bits, a dazed Abe managed to send an urgent call for help to Rafe, who quickly rushed to the scene. In his disoriented state, all Abe could plead for was the commissioner to save his wife.
