At the Salem Inn, Talia (Aketra Sevillian) contemplated the significance of Paulina’s (Jackée Harry) scarf being found in Colin’s (Jasper Newman) hotel room. Meanwhile, Jada (Elia Cantu) tried to apply pressure on Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) but inadvertently slipped up and revealed her sister’s involvement in Colin’s misdeeds. Jada quickly tried to backtrack but was interrupted by her ringing cell phone. An anxious Talia urgently requested a meeting, prompting Jada to rush to her sister’s side. After a tense exchange, Talia deduced that Colin had taken Paulina to his room and then coerced her onto the rooftop of the hotel. High above, Colin expressed his intention to make Paulina jump off the building, inflicting upon Chanel (Raven Bowens) the same pain she caused him years ago.

Days Of Our Lives Recap: Talia Hunter Rides To Chanel’s Rescue
In no time, Jada arrived at the scene with her service weapon drawn, while Talia followed closely behind. Jada demanded that Colin drop his gun and release Paulina, while Talia tearfully pleaded for him to listen to her sister. However, Colin remained determined and, when Paulina unexpectedly suffered a debilitating panic attack and collapsed, he held Chanel tightly and made the chilling decision to harm her instead. Talia impulsively lunged towards Colin, initiating a somewhat unconvincing struggle, and both of them tumbled over the edge of the roof!

In the meantime, Rafe (Galen Gering) urgently called for an ambulance to assist the gravely injured Abe and remained by his side until help arrived, disregarding Abe’s pleas for Rafe to prioritize saving Paulina.
At University Hospital, Abe’s deep concern for Paulina’s well-being seemingly triggered a seizure, which the medical staff determined was caused by an intracranial hemorrhage. Immediate surgery became the only hope for Abe’s recovery. Consequently, Rafe was tasked with locating one of Abe’s sons, explaining the critical situation, and persuading them to provide consent. Theo emerged as the most promising candidate to make this crucial decision for his father.

Returning to the police station, after relishing in Sloan’s arrest and being casually dismissed by Jada (prompting her to question Eric about his preference for obnoxious women), Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) confidently entered the interrogation room, ready to engage in a heated confrontation with Counselor Petersen.

Melinda was taken aback upon discovering from Sloan that “Detective Hunter has a sister named Talia, and she’s deeply involved in this.” The realization forced Melinda to reluctantly drop the charges against Sloan. However, that was the only triumph for Sloan. Melinda hissed, threatened, and promised that both Sloan’s brother and Talia Hunter would have to answer for their actions.
Upon learning about Abe’s critical condition and Colin’s apparent kidnapping of Paulina, Melinda strongly advised Sloan to abandon her futile vendetta. As they made their way to Horton Town Square, Sloan did her best to convince Eric that she had no knowledge of Colin’s schemes, only his presence in Salem. In turn, Eric proposed that they refrain from keeping any more secrets from each other.
Sloan agreed, even as she recalled the uncertainty of Nicole’s pregnancy and the question of who the baby’s father could be. EJ or Eric? Eric or EJ?
Days Of Our Lives Recap: Baby Daze
At the DiMera mansion, EJ pleaded with Nicole for a response to his proposal, noting that his bent knee was growing uncomfortable. However, Nicole withheld her answer, expressing dissatisfaction with the way EJ had approached the proposal. She had hoped for something “simple” and “sincere.”
EJ stood up, took Nicole’s hand, and made another attempt. “Nicole Walker, will you do me the honor of marrying me?” Nicole’s response was a resounding “No.” She questioned why she would want to marry a “cynical, opportunistic jackass.”
To clarify, she not only rejected him but also used derogatory terms to describe him. Furthermore, EJ was fortunate that she refrained from kneeing him in the DiMera family jewels. She pointed out that his sole reason for proposing was because Stefan had proposed to Gabi.
EJ acknowledged that the timing of his proposal was tactless and hurtful, as expressed in Nicole’s own words, but he insisted that it was not the only reason. He passionately declared, “I happen to love you!”

Shocked, Nicole asked, “You love me?” EJ reassured her, affirming that he was deeply in love with her. When Nicole expressed surprise, EJ mentioned that they had been in love before, enough to get married.
Nicole sarcastically remarked that she still had the scars to prove it. In response, EJ proposed that this time would be different because they had both “evolved.”
Despite Nicole’s hesitation, EJ confided that he was the happiest he had been in a long time and highlighted how well they complemented each other, their strong chemistry, and how they could make each other laugh effortlessly. He questioned if that wasn’t love.
Nicole admitted that she did indeed care about EJ, prompting him to assume that she was still hung up on Eric. Nicole denied this, stating that it was simply a matter of the timing being off. EJ respected her need for time to think and assured her that he would give her as much time as she needed.
After a kiss and EJ’s departure, Nicole pondered her situation—pregnant and unsure of the baby’s father. EJ or Eric? Eric or EJ?
