She utilized information about Jack, unknown granddaughter Allie, to entice him to Los Angeles, where she presented a significant danger to his relationship with Phyllis. While there, she exploited the fact that Jack had no idea who his granddaughter was. Phyllis remained by Jack’s side during the ordeal, but she was certain, based on their prior interactions, that Diane’s return would only result in more complications.
