Young and the Restless Spoilers | James Hyde Returns as Jeremy Twin Brother For Revenge
Never in her wildest dreams did Phyllis Summers think that her plan would blow up in her face like this. She just wanted Diane Jenkins to go to prison by faking her death and framing Diane, but now she’s stuck up with a real corpse wrapped up in shower curtains.
After the Bicentennial in Genoa City, we expected Phyllis to lay low and enjoy some downtime with her partner in crime, Jeremy Stark. However, everything quickly went haywire, and a mega plot twist unfolded.
Michelle Stafford, the actress who portrays Phyllis, recently posted a farewell message to James Hyde, who is leaving the show. She issued a spoiler alert and also teased fans with a fun idea. Initially, Phyllis resisted Jeremy’s attempts to team up against Diane. However, when her children didn’t believe that Diane was as bad as their mother made her out to be, Phyllis put all her eggs In Stark’s basket.
As expected, the plan went awry when Phyllis dressed up in disguise and watched her kids heartbrokenly mourning her at her memorial service. She wanted to back out, but Stark wouldn’t let her, knowing that he would be implicated no matter what she did.

Likewise, the redhead did her best to deal with the disgruntled and intimidating criminal, but in the end, he came at her with a pair of scissors. Ina struggle in the motel bathroom, Phyllis ended up turning the shears on him in what we can only assume was an act of self-defense. In a rush of adrenaline, she then dragged his body out wrapped in a shower curtain, ensuring that there would be no suspicion of her involvement in his death.
I mean given that she’s currently dead, who would even count her as a suspect? Nonetheless, with James Hyde leaving the show, Michelle Stafford issued a heartfelt goodbye message, thanking Hint for being a joy to work with and a great scene partner. She also apologized for the short-lived marriage and her character’s actions, jokingly saying she was sorry for stabbing Hint with sharp scissors.
However, Stafford also teased the possibility of Hyde returning to the show as Jeremy Stark’s twin brother. If that does happen, I am all for it, I loved Jeremy as a villain and can’t wait to see more of Hyde in Y&R. I hope you’re as excited as I am to see Hyde back even if it’s as his twin brother.
