General Hospital 5-29-23 Spoilers | Jason Morgan Gets Recast, The Only Man To Save Carly and Sonny
Currently, there are a lot of issues surrounding Sonny and Carly, half of which they don’t even know about yet.
Of course, Jason isn’t around to help them solve the problem like before, so it’s totally up to them to deal with their situation. However, if Jason were still alive, it would have been exciting to see where Sonny and Carly would have ended today.
One thing is for sure: if Jason were alive, he wouldn’t have let Dex and Michael’s scheme progress this far.
Indeed, Sonny hopes Dex will take Jason’s place, but that is never going to happen because Dex is nothing compared to Jason.
Moreover, Dex has no intention of devoting his life to the mob, so there’s no way he will be as committed as Jason.

However, even if Dex later realizes that he belongs in the mob world, h just doesn’t compare to Jason in terms of being an enforcer.
On the other hand, Carly is now caught up in the SEC mess for insider trading. She’s concerned that she will be sent to prison because of it. Jason would undoubtedly be taking all possible measures to free Carly if he were still alive.
And if he had been around to defend Carly, he could have learned about Nina’s evil schemes and her involvement in the SEC tip. Unfortunately, Sonny and Carly have no one to protect them as they are being attacked from everywhere.
As a result, it is getting difficult for them to handle everything on their own. As we know, Steve Burton left GH and is currently working on Days of Our Lives, portraying the character Harris Michaels.
But still, many viewers hope that Jason will return to the show to continue where he left off. In any case, the show might want to hold out in case Burton ever gets the chance to reprise his role as Jason.
However, the entire scenario with Kristina indicates that the show is capable of successfully replacing well-known fan favorites with new talent.
So, there’s a possibility that Jason might as well get recasted at some point in the future. Jason’s presence is what Carly and Sonny desperately need. So be sure to check back for any upcoming casting announcements.
