After learning of Adam’s recruitment of Sally for McCall Unlimited, Nick Newman will feel compelled to take action. Adam’s generous offer to Sally was likely motivated by his desire to draw her closer to him during this challenging time.
Nick will interpret this as Adam making another play to win Sally’s love and deepen their connection. They are currently expecting a child, so they have been making efforts to improve their relationship. But Nick won’t just sit back and let Adam steal Sally.
Nick is concerned that Adam may harm Sally again, so he decides to pursue reconciliation on his own. Given the Newman brothers’ character, this love triangle is bound to escalate to a high degree.

Nick, despite his protests, secretly hopes Adam suffers in this fight. So now that Adam has taken the initiative to get closer to Sally, Nick will need to do the same. And in that case, what can Nick do against Adam’s job offer?
He can try to recruit Sally to work for Newman Enterprises, too, but given his status, it will be tough. Yet still, hell need to make adjustments to tip the scales in his favor. Since Sally obviously cannot stay in a hotel room permanently. Nick might see this as an opportunity to draw closer to Sally. Sally may now be giving serious thought to moving to a more permanent location, ideally one with greater space, before the birth of her child.
While we’re on the subject, Adam did make an offer to buy Sally a house, but she turned him down. Nick isn’t going to make the same offer; instead, he could use a more personal offer. Nick could convince Sally to move in with him if he could show that the two of them were ready for a longer-term commitment.
Before making the switch official, Nick would seek Christian Newman’s approval. Christian, on the other hand, is a gentle kid who seems to get along with all of his dad’s ex-girlfriends. Nick feels free to ask Sally to move in with him without fear of negative reactions from Christian. Perhaps he will insist that both his bed and the nursery have enough room for Sally.
Sally will need to give the prospect of living with her lover serious consideration. Sally has to get out of that athletic club apartment in Genoa City and into a more family-friendly neighborhood as soon as possible. That could convince her to move in with Nick, even though she isn’t ready for that. And as they live close to each other, their relationship could evolve quickly in the future.
