A doctor is facing a lawsuit for alleged gross negligence after a tragic incident during a complicated delivery at Southern Regional Hospital in Georgia. The legal action is brought by Jessica Ross and Treveon Taylor, whose baby lost his life due to the mishandled delivery.
Dr. Tracey St Julian is accused of decapitating the baby during a delivery that turned into a nightmare for the couple. The parents’ legal team claims that Dr. St Julian applied excessive force to the baby’s head and neck during the delivery, resulting in multiple fractures.
The attorney representing the parents states that the doctor’s actions led to the baby’s head, face, and neck bones being broken. The baby could not be delivered vaginally due to a condition called shoulder dystocia, where the shoulders become stuck in the birth canal.

Allegedly, Dr. St Julian did not proceed with a previously requested cesarean delivery in a timely manner. The lawsuit also implicates several nurses for concealing the incident.
The parents, both 21 years old, learned about the horrifying details of their son’s death while making arrangements for his cremation, days after the incident occurred.
The legal action highlights the serious issues surrounding the delivery and the subsequent alleged cover-up by medical staff.
The hospital, owned by Prime Healthcare Services, extended their condolences and expressed commitment to quality care. Dr. St Julian has yet to respond publicly to the case. The lawsuit seeks compensation for damages and funeral costs.
The incident further raises concerns about infant mortality rates among black women, as emphasized by the parents’ lawyers. An investigation is ongoing, and the case continues to unfold.
