The drama on The Young and the Restless is ramping up as Nick Newman gets some disturbing news that has him worried. Also, Sharon Rosales is in for a rude awakening during May sweeps, and she knows there’s only one person she can turn to for help when disaster strikes and that’s Nick.
Sharon is dealing with a familiar danger, which may be a recurrence of her illness, and she turns to Nick for assistance as she braces herself for the worst. Even after all they’ve gone through together, she knows she can always count on him to be there for her because of the unique bond they have.
Nick will want to be there for Sharon, but his love for Sally Spectra, who is going through her own turmoil as she prepares to become a mother, makes it difficult for him to do so. As the pressure builds, Nick must determine whether he can put Sharon first despite the emotional tug from his other feelings.

Sharon is shown to be Nick’s real love as the story progresses, confirming what Adam Newman has long assumed. Nick and Sharon haven’t seen one another in a long time, but their relationship is becoming stronger by the day; may this finally be the opportunity for them to get back together?
There is nothing more at risk for Sharon. As she deals with this most recent crisis on her own, she is adamant that she will not cause her loved ones any unnecessary anxiety. But the anxiety she feels is real, and she knows Nick is the only one who can fully comprehend it.
Nick, in the meantime, is entangled in a tangled web of conflicting sentiments, divided between his devotion to Sharon and his affection for Sally. But he understands that he must put aside his emotions in order to do the right thing for Sharon, and he is committed to doing so.
