Young and the Restless Spoilers | Victor Does The Impossible, Adam & Nick Suffer Massive Blow
Victor Newman is a man of strong convictions and is notoriously difficult to win over. On The Young and the Restless, he has made his distaste for Sally Spectra clear, and it is unlikely that he will change his tune anytime soon. In fact, he will never stop trying to get Sally as far as possible from his sons.
However, Sally’s pregnancy has introduced a new variable into the equation. With her carrying his grandchild, there is a possibility that Victor may soften his stance.
It is important to note that Victor’s opinion of a woman is often linked to their relationship with his children. He adores Nikki, just as he adores the kids she gave him, and he has shown some respect towards Ashley, the mother of his children he tends to forget once in a while just like the kids. And while he may not be fond of Phyllis, the mother of his grandchild, he is able to tolerate her for their sake, or at least pretends to do so.
However, when it comes to Sally, he just despises her guts and is not fond of the unethical means she used to climb up the ladder.
Some fans speculate that Victor will take the time to assess Sally’s worth as a Newman matriarch. He may want to ensure that she can raise his grandchild with the same values and ethics that he upholds. But he may also try to snatch the children away as he suspects Sally’s lids will turn out to be like her Nonetheless, if Sally proves herself to be a capable and trustworthy partner to his son, Victor may eventually come around.
On the other hand, some believe that Victor’s animosity towards Sally runs too deep to be swayed by a pregnancy. After all, this man has gone to great lengths to protect his family in the past. From filing court orders to prevent his son from moving away with his grandchild to backing his son’s attempt to take a child away from his biological father, Victor has shown that he is not afraid to use his power to protect his family, or at least the family member that he cares about and has expectations with.
So, it is entirely possible that he will view Sally as a threat to his grandchild’s well-being and take steps to ensure that she is kept at arm’s length. Only time will tell whether Sally’s pregnancy will soften the infamous Newman patriarch’s heart or if he will remain steadfast in his disapproval.
