Not just that! Daniel is furious with Jeremy Stark for marrying his mother, and he decides to face him directly. As they argue with one another, the tension in the room increases, and it becomes obvious that there is more going on in their marriage than meets the eye. Daniel suspects that Jeremy is engaged in some nefarious activity, but it remains to be seen whether or not his assumptions will be proven.

In the meantime, Lauren Baldwin is having a hard time processing the events of the bicentennial celebration. Michael Baldwin, thankfully, is there to help soothe and support his wife at this trying time. But then, when everything has finally settled down, Chance Chancellor announces something shocking.
He has uncovered more details about Phyllis’s vanished ambulance as well as the collision that took place on Collins Road. At first, it seems like Jeremy really cares about Phyllis’ well-being, but as the inquiry progresses, his actual motives become more and more suspect.
Summer Newman is at her wit’s end trying to find out more details about her mother; and she has turned to Chance for assistance. The revelation that Phyllis’ ambulance was involved in the crash brings things to a climax, which is particularly significant given the elevated levels of stress that have been building up. As Daniel and Summer are attempting to deal with the news, their whole world is about to come crumbling down around them.
